What is Quinapril?
Quinapril is mainly used to reduce high pressure and to treat heart failure. It can be taken alone or in combination with other drugs.
How should Quinapril be taken?
Quinapril is commercially available in the form of tablets. Your doctor will usually prescribe a lower starting dose, which can later be increased if the doctor considers that appropriate. The daily dose may have to be taken as a single dose or in two separate doses throughout the day.

Contraindications and warnings associated with the use of Quinapril
The intake of quinapril is not recommended during pregnancy. Moreover, it is also important to inform your doctor if:
- You are allergic to quinapril or to benazepril, captopril, enalapril, fosinopril, lisinopril, moexipril, perindopril, ramipril, trandolapril or other drugs
- You suffer from diabetes or you are taking aliskiren
- You are taking other medications or herbal supplements, especially diuretics, lithium, potassium supplements or tetracycline
- You suffer (or have suffered) from heart, liver or kidney problems, lupus, scleroderma, and/or angioedema
- You are breast-feeding
- You must undergo a surgical procedure, including dental
