The Department of Dermatology, headed by Dr. Antonio Costanzo, operates in the fields of clinical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, allergies, dermatologic surgery, sexually transmitted diseases, infectious conditions (parasitic and fungal) of the skin, and treats almost 15,000 patients each year.
What is more, the team carries out activities of early diagnosis (digital video microscopy) and treatment (microsurgery, aesthetic medicine) of skin cancers (epithelioma- melanoma- precancerous).
The Department also practices medical cosmetology with diagnosis, medical or surgical treatments, and prescription of specific products for the main skin and hair imperfections.
