Malta hosted eHealth Week 2017 last May. A yearly event organized by the European Committee in collaboration with the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). It is about the new developments in the field of digital healthcare.
On this occasion, Humanitas was awarded for the evolution and innovation standard of its health data systems, and was acknowledged as “EMRAM Stage 6”.
EMRAM (Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model) is an international evaluation model that measures and compares the state of development of Information Technology (IT) in health services, taking into consideration the patients’ medical records and files implementations.
A Technological Evolution Course
Elena Sini, Director of Information Systems at Humanitas, commented. “This achievement is important to us. It validates the efficacy of a technological and organizational evolution course that began five years ago. During this period, year after year, we kept getting better”.
The award was certified by an on-site visit by HIMSS European inspectors, and it was officially given in Malta on the occasion of eHealth Week 2017.
