The Ariel Golf Tour, the first charity golf tournament to support Ariel Foundation projects for children who are suffering from cerebral palsy and their families, started on Sunday, the 3rd of March.
The tournament will be held on a number of golf courses in Northern Italy: the first match was held on Sunday, March 3rd at the Castello di Tolcinasco Golf Club, very close to Milan: on the green designed by the great Arnold Palmer, considered one of the most beautiful in Italy. About 120 players participated in the competition. The winners (first, second, ladies and seniors) were awarded at the Club House and, with them, also the winners of the lottery organized by the company Golftek, which also promoted the competition solidarity.
Professor Nicola Portinaro, head of the Paediatric Orthopedic Unit of Humanitas and medical-scientific director of Ariel, also took part in the award ceremony, presenting the foundation’s mission in favor of the more than 40,000 Italian families of children with neuromotor disabilities.
The solidarity competition, which brings together all golf lovers “for the sake of good”, will continue until November: on 15 May at the Franciacorta Golf Club in Corte Franca (BS), on 21 July at the Golf Club Zoate (MI); in October the tournament will be resumed at the Golf Club Castello di Tolcinasco, before closing in stages on the courses of Zoate. It is an opportunity to have fun and at the same time do good by helping many children and families in Italy who face the challenge of disability.
In order to give an answer to the thousands of needs of these families and to research new therapies, medical and surgical, you can support with a donation the Ariel Foundation.
