Prof. Franco Servadei is Neurosurgery professor at Humanitas University and Research Hospital.
In 1981 he became Resident Neurosurgeon at Karolinska Hospital, Stockolm, Sweden; from 1980 to 1989 he was first Resident Neurosurgeon and successively Staff Neurosurgeon at Bellaria Hospital, Bologna, Italy; from 1989 to 2007 he was first Consultant of the Department of Neurosurgery-Neurotraumatology and successively Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery-Neurotraumatology at Bufalini Hospital, Cesena, Italy; from 2007 to 2017 he was Director of Neurosurgery Department at IRCCS “ASMN” Hospital of Reggio Emilia, Italy; From 2007 to 2017 he was Chairman of the Department of emergency medicine at University Hospital of Parma, Italy.
Concerning his academic role, from 1999 to 2006 he was Teaching Professor of Neurosurgery (residency training courses) both at Medical School, University of Ancona, Italy and at Medical School, University of Catania, Italy. From 2011 to 2017 he was Adjunct Professor of Neurosurgery at Medical School, University of Parma, Italy. Since 2006, he is Teaching Professor of Neurosurgery (residency training courses) at Medical School, University of Padova, Italy.
Prof. Servadei is Reviewer of several journals, such as Journal of Neurotrauma since 2009, World Neurosurgery since 2011, Neurosurgery since 2012, Neurosurgical Review since 2013. He is also been Italian Official Member of the Neurotrauma Committee WORLD Federation of Neurosurgical Societies from 1990 to 2002, Member of Executive Committee of Italian Neurosurgical Society from 2002 to 2004.
He is been president of Italian Neurosurgical Society from 2010-2012, Chairman of Neurotraumatology Committee of the WFNS from 2002 to 2010 and Elected president of WFNS from 2015 to 2017.
