Methysergide is used to prevent or reduce the frequency and pain of some severe forms of headaches (e.g. migraine and cluster headaches). It is only used in cases where other treatments have not been effective. Methysergide is not indicated for the treatment of an ongoing migraine attack.
What is Methysergide?

How should Methysergide be taken?
Methysergide is typically administered orally with food. A doctor may initially prescribe a lower dose and then gradually increase it if necessary. In any case, 2-3 dosages per day should not be exceeded.
