Levocetirizine is used to reduce the symptoms of runny nose, sneezing, redness, as well as itching and watery eyes caused by hay fever and seasonal allergies by allergens such as dust mites, animal dander and molds. It can also be used to treat symptoms of hives, including itching and rashes.

Typically, Levocetirizine is administered orally in the form of tablets to be taken once a day in the evening.

Levocetirizine may impair the ability to drive or operate hazardous machinery. In addition, alcohol can increase drowsiness induced by the drug.
