Spinal stenosis is an abnormal narrowing (stenosis) of the spinal canal that may occur in any of the regions of the spine. Symptoms include pain, numbness, paraesthesia, and loss of motor control. There are several types of spinal stenosis: lumbar stenosis and cervical stenosis being the most frequent. When non-surgical treatments for spinal stenosis fail, decompression or surgical widening of the spinal canal may be performed. ICH specilists ensure their patients microsurgical techniques and minimally invasive as the microdecompressione bilateral with unilateral approach, able to ensure compliance with the articular structures and thus to preserve the stability of the column. With these methods, the patient gets up the day of surgery, and is usually discharged the next day, thanks to a fast recovery of function. More than 25,000 spine surgeries have been done by our Group of Surgeon.
