First Visit

The aim of the first visit is diagnosing possible mouth diseases that affect teeth and mucous membranes, and drafting an overall operational plan to preserve teeth and rehabilitate toothless (edentulous) areas.

A really useful tool for the diagnosis is the panoramic tomography (orthopantomography of upper and lower teeth): during surgeries, it is often supported by TAC (dentalscan) or cranic latero-lateral for orthodontic cases.

The only risk factor for radiographies is pregnancy. It is also paramount to ask the medical personnel not to use latex gloves if you are (or you think you may be) allergic to latex.

You may ask for a second visit if one or some of your first-visit exams have to be reassessed.
